At Mechanical Engineering Department, we have a mission to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, skilled and equipped with positive attitudes that shall enable them face challenges in their changing environments.
The department is divided into automotive and production sections.
We offer diploma, craft, artisan, trade test and city and guilds certificates courses in the fields of automotive and mechanical production. The diplomas and drafts certificates are modular taking one year per module. The diploma has 3 modules whereas craft has 2 modules.
Short skills development skills that cover 4-8 weeks are available in the fields of TIG, MIG, ARC and Gas Welding, Defensive and Driving skills and Lathe work.Various examination bodies test the students in the various levels. This includes Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) and NITA.
